Queen of All Saints Ministries
Church Ministries & Volunteerism
Announcement
Leaders & Coordinators are needed for the following Ministries:
Come join us! Volunteer and participate in our Teams & Committees. Reward yourself by serving others!
We honor your spirit of volunteerism, and we would be thankful should you decide to join one or more of our interesting ministries. All that is required is a desire to help people... If you have the courage and dedication, assertiveness, and a willingness to learn new skills and face new challenges... And if you have the time for training sessions, meetings, emergency calls, maintenance of equipment, and other duties...
Each year, we ask our parishioners to commit to the ministries and activities offered at Queen of All Saints. God has given each of us special talents: What better way is there to demonstrate your appreciation to Our Loving God for these wonderful gifts He has bestowed upon you? Here's your opportunity to overcome personal difficulties (such as shyness) in a positive, peaceful, supportive and loving environment? Improve your inter-personal skills, and receive other precious gifts from The Almighty: Fulfillment, sense of accomplishment, purpose, humanity, creativity...ad infinitum.
Special Note of Encouragement: (M. Souza, QAS webmanager)
All of us lead busy lives between work and family duties - no justification needed as these priorities do speak for themselves. Then there's the time remaining that we all tend to treasure, and typically divert our attention to leisurely activities and the pursuit of hobbies, etc., also important if we are to take a 'balanced approach' to lifestyle as so often advised by mental health professionals.
What about the time that all of us make excuses for: you know...to "tune-out, chill." I personally know a lot of people that choose to "tune-out" and "escape" into their world of fantasy in front of the TV, or surfing the web, etc. Why not give up some of that non-productive time and volunteer for something you may like, or have a knack for? Self-esteem is built upon and nurtured by accomplishments; watching other people on TV does nothing for YOUR OWN self-esteem.
I am in no position to offer or promise you anything; that's between you and Almighty God. I do recommend you find something within our Queen of All Saints Church that you can participate in, some worthy activity you enjoy, then decide to give your time freely. Volunteering is not for wimps! Make a quality decision to give up some pursuit of leisure (TV, etc.) for a purpose greater than yourself. You may just find it rewarding and fulfilling - and your fellow parishoners will appreciate you service. May the Lord smile upon your noble and selfless spirit.
Take some time and look at the MINISTERIES LIST below. You can also download the BOOKLET to peruse at your leisure. When you find something that might interest you, we invite you to contact the coordinator associated with that ministry.
Thanks, and may God Bless you and reward your giving spirit!
