Church Ministries And Volunteerism
Come join us! Volunteer and participate in our Teams & Committees.
We honor your spirit of volunteerism, and we would be greatly appreciative should you decide to join one or more of our interesting ministries. All that is required is a desire to help people... If you have the courage and dedication, assertiveness, and a willingness to learn new skills and face new challenges... And if you have the time for training sessions, meetings, emergency calls, maintenance of equipment, and other duties...
Each year, we ask our parishioners to commit to the ministries and activities offered at Queen of All Saints. God has given each of us special talents: What better way is there to demonstrate your appreciation to Our Loving God for these wonderful gifts He has bestowed upon you? Here's your opportunity to overcome personal difficulties (such as shyness) in a positive, peaceful, supportive and loving environment? Improve your inter-personal skills, and receive other precious gifts from The Almighty: Fulfillment, sense of accomplishment, purpose, humanity, creativity...ad infinitum.
Special Note of Encouragement: (M. Souza, webmanager)
Speaking on my own behalf, I can attest to the endless Blessings and Gifts I have received from my Lord God from the time I began serving our Catholic Church Community loyally. I dare say, and without hesitation, that I have gained more wisdom and intuition from serving God than my 10 years of "higher education." Just what do I mean? In simple terms, I would follow an 'inspiration/feeling' against my own 'logical rationale' initially. More often that not, it was the more difficult or uncomfortable path.
After a period of time (years maybe), I was able to 'see' things more clearly and from multiple perspectives/angles, almost like being able to see around a corner, or what's in back of something for instance, to put it in a corny way. Initially, the feeling was peculiar and unnerving - I was still lacking in faith to understand the changes in me, or to appreciate this 'enlightenment' for lack of a better word. Another way to put it is the feeling of walking out of the haze that I existed in most of my life, and entering into a heightened reality. Things seem brighter, clearer, colors more vibrant, more exhilarating. For example, when a politician makes a statement, I hear the truth regardless of the words used. This ability/wisdom/intuition or whatever you wish to call it has allowed me to steer clear of the purveyors of evil and the trouble they bring, have a greater understanding of the world around me, and live and enjoy life with a new sense of appreciation. Connecting the dots: To summarize, by acting on the very first whisper to come and serve, I opened up and allowed myself to see and hear that which most are oblivious to.
I am in no position to offer or promise you anything; that's between you and God. I do recommend that you find something within our Queen of All Saints Church that you can participate in that you enjoy and decide to give your time freely. Volunteering is not for wimps! Make a quality decision to give up some pursuit of leisure (TV, etc.) for a purpose greater than yourself.
Please contact the rectory office during business hours, and they will put you in contact with a coordinator.
Thanks, and may God Bless you and reward your giving spirit!
